Wade has been passionate about hockey since a very young age. His playing career has involved almost every level of Hockey in North America and Europe. He has played Jr. A, WHL, ECHL, CIS and European Pro hockey. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft and was a part of their organization for 3 years where he attended 3 NHL camps and 3 development camps. He played in the Top Prospects game in 2000 Cherry vs Orr and has attended an AHL training camp.
Wade is certified in coaching through the National Coaching Certification Program of Canada. He has a University degree from the University of Calgary and coaching courses from Mount Royal University. He has worked with the AAHHL and both the Men's and Women's Ice Hockey and Inline Hockey National Teams of Argentina on the floor/ice and as a consultant.
Wade is now fortunate to be able to pass on the knowledge and experience he has acquired. He has developed a special skill to be able to teach players by relating to and understanding what they need to improve their abilities. Wade provides an environment where kids excel by learning to develop specific hockey skills while having fun. He focuses on building confidence and encouraging a positive attitude while helping players to develop those skills.
Wade has been working with kids in hockey since 1998. He has been running Hockey camps since 2000 and has experience teaching all aspects of hockey from Checking to Shooting and everything in between. Wade has helped to improve the skills of teams and players from all over the World including the UK, Germany, Holland, Qatar, USA, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Argentina, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, Ukraine, Russia, Norway and Canada.
Wade believes that “the better you are at something the more fun you have, the more fun you have the better you get”. Ultimately, FUN is what hockey and sport are all about.
